Following a collision that closed the A92 at the Parbroath crossroads in Fife at around noon, three people were hospitalised. The collision involved a motorcyclist heading towards Dundee and a black Ford Mondeo that was travelling on the A913. Three ambulances and police responded to the scene. The motorcyclist, a 29-year-old man, was taken to Ninewells Hospital with what are described as serious injuries.
Two of the car’s occupants received minor injury treatment at the hospital. The chauffeur escaped unharmed.
On Sunday night, the road reopened just before 630 p.m.
“We attended a road traffic collision on the A92 and dispatched three ambulances to the scene,” a Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson stated.
“We moved two patients to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy and one patient to Ninewells Hospital.”
Appeal after A92 crash near Parbroath
An inquiry is underway to determine the complete circumstances surrounding the collision.
“I am appealing to all road users who were driving on the A92 or A913 around the time of the incident to contact us with any information,” stated Sergeant Lee Walkingshaw of the road policing unit.
“Please check any dash cam footage you may have; it may contain images that can help with our ongoing investigation.”
