£12m Newcastle player is now going to be fit to face Aston Villa.

When Newcastle United plays Aston Villa on Tuesday night, their roster shouldn’t be any less formidable.

In their FA Cup comeback, the Magpies defeated Fulham 2-0 on Saturday to go to the fifth round. In the following round, they will play Wrexham or Blackburn Rovers.

Eddie Howe, though, can now return his focus to the Premier League and his difficult journey to Aston Villa. This season, Unai Emery’s team is blazing fast as they want to repeat Newcastle’s feat from the previous one and earn a Champions League spot.

Newcastle, meanwhile, is trying to save their Premier League season. The team led by Eddie Howe has suffered greatly lately due to injury issues.

Concerns were raised on Saturday after Kieran Trippier hobbled out in the 86th minute and was replaced by Emil Krafth. Although the 33-year-old seems to be experiencing groyne pain, it appears that he will be well at Villa Park.

Howe gave an injury report and spoke with the media prior to Newcastle’s trip to Aston Villa. As stated by Craig Hope of the Daily Mail, Kieran Trippier is “ok after groyne soreness at weekend.”

Only a few days after he declared his intention to stay on Tyneside, that is fantastic news regarding Trippier.

The defender has been strongly connected to Bayern Munich, with rumours circulating that he genuinely desired to join the German powerhouse after leaving Newcastle.

However, Bayern declined Newcastle’s offer of £20 million and have since moved on. Regarding Trippier, he has freely acknowledged that he enjoys dressing in black and white.

The £12 million man will now aim to return to his peak form after struggling in the winter. It appears he will start again on Tuesday, probably leading the team like he did in the 2-0 victory over Fulham.
