BREAKING;Newcastle United Hijacked Liverpool target”

Many clubs are ‘on notice’ about the probable availability of West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen, with Newcastle United being one of them. According to sources, negotiations for a new deal with the Hammers have reportedly slowed recently. Newcastle and Liverpool are reportedly keeping an eye on this development.

This season, Bowen has been in outstanding form for the Hammers, scoring five goals in just seven Premier League games. Given his performance at the club level, the 26-year-old was also recently called up to the England squad by Gareth Southgate.

Although Newcastle’s rumored interest in Bowen may come as a surprise given their summer signing of Harvey Barnes, the club has had a very long-standing interest in the player going back to Steve Bruce’s time at the club. When the winger was still playing for Hull City in January 2020, Newcastle was heavily linked with a move, and Bowen has since admitted that he even looked at homes in the region because of how confident he was that he would sign with Newcastle United for £14 million (plus £6 million in add-ons) and rejoin former Tigers manager Bruce.

It was deadline day, and I had nothing, Bowen remarked on the Premier League’s YouTube account. Because Steve Bruce was in Newcastle, I believed I was going there. I thought it was all nailed on when I was searching for houses and other things

“They claimed they wouldn’t be paying the money, so I decided to stay in Hull. It was £14 million plus £6 million in add-ons, one of which was for a call-up to the England team, and I believed it would never happen.

“I went to training thinking I was still playing for Hull, but the manager grabbed me and said, ‘What are you doing here, we’ve accepted a proposal from West Ham.’ Even before they expressed interest, I had no idea.

Bowen decided against moving to Tyneside and instead joined the Hammers, where he has grown stronger over the course of his stay with the team. Callum Wilson, Bukayo Saka, and Ollie Watkins are all behind the 26-year-old Bowen in the statistics for most Premier League goals scored by an Englishman this season.
