It was a long time coming for the side to win, so the Toon Army supporters will likely demand that he attend future games.

The club has suffered greatly from injuries as well as defensive shortcomings, which is why the Fulham clean sheet was necessary.

It’s not going to get any easier, though, as Newcastle will now face the toughest away match in the Premier League this season on Tuesday night at Villa Park.

With just one home loss this season, Unai Emery’s Aston Villa will be hoping to maintain their title challenge against a rejuvenated Newcastle squad.
