newcastle united admission after a mouth of transfer talks*

The coaching staff at NEWCASTLE is certain that Miguel Almiron has not been negatively impacted by the rumours that have been circulating about him over the past few weeks.

Al-Shabab, a Saudi Arabian team, made an official approach for Almiron with the intention of signing him in the last few days of the transfer window.

However, the negotiations broke down with the Paraguayan still in Tyneside, with Eddie Howe insistent he did not want to lose one of his important attacking players.

Almiron was back in the lineup for Tuesday’s triumph at Aston Villa after missing last weekend’s FA Cup success at Fulham due to sickness. His cross eventually found its way into the goal, which Newcastle scored through the deflection of Alex Moreno.

As Newcastle hosts Luton Town this afternoon, he is striving to go back to the starting lineup, and Jason Tindall is certain that the transfer rumours from last month haven’t had an impact on his mental health.

At yesterday’s pre-match news conference, Tindall, filling in for an ailing Eddie Howe, stated: “We spoke to Miggy a couple of times last week and anyone who has come into contact with Miggy will know what an unbelievable lad he is.”

“He never poses a second concern. He puts up his best effort in training each and every day, and it is evident when he dons a Newcastle shirt how much he values the team and the organisation.

He is alright. Being sick for the past few days, he was likely just 50% physically when he played at Aston Villa. It speaks volumes about his character and abilities that he was able to run as far as he did and put up the performance that he did.

Last month, Kieran Trippier was also the target of foreign interest; two bids for the England full-back were turned down by Bayern Munich.

Linked to another player was Callum Wilson.

He remarked, “I think it’s probably felt a little bit different in that a lot of our players have been linked to other clubs, so there has been a lot of speculation.”

“But, as a group, the guys in the changing room are outstanding; they are all very composed and professional, and that isn’t only directed at Tripps and Miggy.

Their dedication to this football team has never wavered and will continue to be so. Their attitude towards their performance for the club won’t change no matter what is said or speculated.
