Newcastle United keen on €20-25 million-rated Brazilian with 21 goals this season

According to reports, Newcastle United is interested in paying €20–25 million to capture Brazilian attacker Marcos Leonardo, who is 20 years old.

According to a UOL report, Newcastle United is reportedly monitoring Santos striker Marcos Leonardo, 20, who has scored 21 goals so far this year. The Brazilian team wants to let him go for between €20 and €25 million.

In South America, Marcos Leonardo is well regarded, and he has a promising future. If they can sign him, he might turn out to be a fantastic long-term investment for the Magpies. Since the acquisition, Newcastle United has been very conscientious about their transfer business. They have made investments in young, gifted players who have delivered strong performances.

Leonardo would be an even more wise purchase. The 20-year-old has also been connected to other English teams. Thus, it is still unclear if Newcastle United will be able to win the race for his signature.

The Magpies are one of the wealthiest clubs in the world, and they have the finances to pay his asking price, which currently stands at €20-25 million. At that price, Leonardo could even prove to be a bargain in the near future.

The 20-year-old will look to continue his development and play for the biggest clubs in the world. A move to Newcastle United could be an exciting next step in his career and regular football in the Premier League could accelerate his development.

Newcastle United has to strengthen their roster in order to compete well in a variety of leagues. Acquiring an additional striker would be a prudent move. With Callum Wilson’s injury concerns, the only dependable striker in the team is Alexander Isak.

In terms of availability, the seasoned striker may be very erratic, despite having the highest scoring rate in the team. Eddie Howe therefore needs a second striker to assist Isak in scoring goals. Leonardo most definitely fits the mold, but it’s unclear if Newcastle will try to recruit him in January.

Newcastle are currently competing in the UEFA Champions League, and they will aim for another top four finish this season. Quality additions in January will certainly boost their chances of doing well. Leonardo has already proven himself in South America with Santos, and he has the technical attributes to do well in England as well. Howe’s attacking approach could be a good fit for him as well.
