UNC Basketball Recruiting announce something shocking

A long-time UNC basketball offer holder is going to proclaim a winner or narrow down his list.

Caleb Wilson, a forward for Holy Innocents Episcopal School (Ga.) and a top prospect for UNC basketball, said two weeks ago that he was about to reduce his top 12 to five. Still hasn’t been done by the 6-foot-9, 205-pound five-star. However, another hint indicates that the next phase of his hiring should happen soon.

Wilson, a multifaceted post talent sitting No. 5 overall and No. 3 among power forwards on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, posted the following “soon” emoji on Sunday:

UNC and fellow blueblood Kentucky appear to be locks to make it through Wilson’s next round of cuts, but it’s unclear who among his five finalists might join them, according to HS Top Recruits’ opinion in reaction to that article.

Some, however, interpret Wilson’s most recent hint as an indication that he may declare a winner. He recently observed the Wildcats once more by going to their 77-72 victory over Duke at the Champions Classic in Atlanta’s State Farm Arena on Tuesday night, so if that’s the case, Kentucky is most likely the favourite.

UCF, Ohio State, Duke, Georgia Tech, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Oregon, Southern Cal, UNC, Kentucky, and Georgia Tech are in his top 12.

Caleb Wilson won’t sign a scholarship contract until the late signing period in the spring, according to a story published on Sunday by national recruiting insider Adam Zagoria.
