Following a collision in North Cork, a man has passed away.
This morning in Toureenfineen, near Ballydesmond, there was a fatal road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a truck. Gardaí and emergency services responded to the scene.
The man in his 40s who was riding the motorbike was fatally injured in the collision, which happened before 8 a.m.
There are currently local detours in place and the road is still closed.
Investigators for Garda Forensic Collision are investigating the scene.
