Norwich City striker Idah’s playing time at Carrow Road was limited throughout the first half of the season, prompting a temporary move to Scottish heavyweights Celtic.
There, the 23-year-old has been a regular starter, and he’s put in some impressive displays too.
In all competitions, Idah has seven goals and two assists for the Glasgow club. This brings his season tally to 14 goals in 49 games between both clubs.
Amid his success north of the line, there has been speculation that he may leave Norwich City permanently, with Celtic wanting to keep him.
According to Football Insider, Idah feels the same way. He is thought to be’very keen’ on a permanent move to Celtic Park, with a £5 million transfer fee mentioned ahead of the summer window.
Idah has been on the books at Norwich City since the summer of 2017, signing from Irish side College Corinthians as a youngster.
As a result, his loan was approved, and he has already demonstrated his abilities at Celtic.
Idah’s stock has risen dramatically while out on loan, and it appears that his future may be elsewhere from Carrow Road.
Of course, it’s unclear what Norwich City has in store for the Irishman next season. However, interest is unavoidable, and if the opportunity to cash in on a player who isn’t a certain starter arises, it may be worth considering.
The striker will be determined to continue and build on the momentum he gained during his Celtic loan, and he may have the best chance of doing so away from Norwich.
Celtic and Idah are both eager to continue working together, but whether or not this agreement is completed in the summer remains to be seen.
