Norwich City, PSV, Nantes, and Gremio are all rumoured to be interested in signing the attacker. Before moving abroad, the former Sweden youth international played for Bristol City in the Championship from 2017 to 2020.
Eliasson, 28, was a fan favourite at Ashton Gate, scoring seven goals in 95 games across all competitions while also providing an amazing 21 assists for his former colleagues.
According to Fotboll Direkt, he has now come on the Canaries’ radar as they aim to add to their squad this summer. David Wagner’s team will face Leeds United in the second leg of their play-off semi-final on Friday at Elland Road, after drawing 0-0 at Carrow Road the previous Saturday.
It is hard for Norwich City to make recruitment plans as they don’t know what league they will be playing in next term.
Eliasson may have been identified as a potential target for if they remain in the Football League.
He joined AEK Athens back in 2022 and has since played 75 times for them, firing eight goals and laying on 21 assists.
The Varberg-born player has recently helped his current side win the Greece SuperLeague and Cup, and he is under contract there until 2027, so they are not under any obligation to sell him anytime soon until they receive an offer they cannot reject.
Eliasson began his career with Falkenberg and later moved to Sweden to play for AIK and IFK Norrköping before joining Bristol City.
He impressed with the Robins before joining Ligue 1 club Nîmes.
The pacey wide man then spent two years in France and found the net on 11 occasions before moving to the Greek capital.
Eliasson still has a lot of years left in him, and his greatest strength is his ability to pick up a lot of assists, which would be useful for Norwich City if they signed him.
The Canaries are currently focused on gaining promotion to the Premier League by defeating Daniel Farke’s Leeds United.
The winner will face either Southampton or West Brom at Wembley.
