Norwich City set to make decision on Marcelino Nunez amid Trabzonspor transfer links

The midfielder is attracting interest from Turkey

Zeke Downes, a Norwich City supporter on Football League World, thinks the Chilean international will be a key player for the Canaries in the upcoming campaign.

In the summer of 2022, Nunez moved to Carrow Road after joining for an alleged £3 million from Universidad Catolica in his native country.Since then, the 24-year-old has developed into a vital member of the Championship team’s center of the park, making 81 appearances across all competitions while contributing five goals and five assists.

However, his form now appears to be attracting interest from elsewhere with the summer market open, although it appears those links will not be welcomed by Norwich City fans

Norwich supporter reacts to Marcelino Nunez rumours

Trabzonspor has reportedly put up a bid to sign Nunez this summer for a reported €3.5 million.

It’s believed that Norwich turned down the Turkish team’s offer and is now holding out for a far larger price to sell the midfield player this summer.Based on Downes’ statements, it appears that supporters of the Canaries may agree that this is the proper position for them to take regarding Trabzonspor’s interest in Nunez.

The Norwich City supporter told Football League World the following in response to questions on whether he believes the team should make a move for the midfielder and what a fair price for him is:

“Nunez will be a key player to is next season. I think we signed him for about £3million, so there’s no way that the €3.5million bid is anywhere near how much we’d accept.

“I think he’s worth a lot more like 10(million) and I can see him playing a key part next season. At the end of the season he looked very very good and he was really into his groove and he is going to be vital. There’s no way that we’re going to let him go at all.”

There are still two years remaining on Nunez’ contract with Norwich, securing his future at Carrow Road until the end of the 2025/26 season
