Forest Strike deals for Dortmund star and Sporting Lisbon youngster#

Nottingham Forest have finalised an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for American star Gio Reyna, HITC understands.

HITC revealed Nottingham Forest‘s bid for Reyna earlier this month and then revealed that they had confidence they would seal the deal.

The two clubs have now agreed on a transfer; it is a loan agreement with an option that will last until the end of the current campaign. Dortmund will receive roughly £20 million from Forest if the loan is extended permanently, less the loan fee.

Reyna, a 20-year-old midfielder who has already signed a contract with Forest, has only made one start for Dortmund so far this season and was keen to sign with another team this month.

Jorge Mendes

Reyna, who was also targeted by Marseille and Sevilla, has been pursued by Forest, but Nuno Espirito Santo, the manager, is pressing hard to get a deal done as he brings Reyna to the City Ground.

It is believed that Forest was able to close the deal with the assistance of Jorge Mendes, Nuno’s agent and close friend, who also represents Reyna.

Reyna, who was born in Sunderland, is scheduled to arrive in England by plane on Wednesday before signing a contract with Forest.

Sporting deal

According to HITC, Forest is expected to be among the busiest teams during the final days of the transfer window. A deal for Sporting Lisbon teenager Rodrigo Ribeiro is also almost finalised.

The 18-year-old Portuguese youth international, who has made a few first-team appearances, will join on loan with the possibility to extend the agreement for an estimated £10 million.

In order to make room in their roster, Forest has also agreed to let midfielder Orel Mangala join Lyon in a projected £30 million deal.
