Journalist blast Nottingham Forest owner

Journalist Ian Ladyman has predicted what will happen to Nottingham Forest if they sack Steve Cooper.

The pressure on the head coach is building ahead of this Saturday’s match at Molineux against Wolves.

To put further strain on the manager, the Reds lost 5-0 to Fulham at Craven Cottage last night.

At the conclusion of the competition, he seemed to apologise for such a terrible performance and thanked the fans.

What would happen if Forest fires Cooper is predicted by Ladyman.
It’s difficult not to feel a tiny bit depressed because the Reds manager appears to be playing for keeps at the City Ground.

Cooper has restored happiness to Forest, and the community should always adore him.

Still, Forest’s season-long performance this year has been utterly unacceptable.

One victory in eleven Premier League games is just not good enough for an owner with such high expectations.

But Ladyman has criticised the Forest hierarchy, believing that the Reds are about to make a grave error.

He stated on the It’s All Kicking Off Podcast that “I’m not saying it’s right by the way, but I think the time is probably nigh for Steve.”

“I’ll tell you what Steve Cooper doesn’t deserve: working for a company and an employer who don’t value him, like Evangelos Marinakis. Who can blame them, I ask you, if he hasn’t performed and the players haven’t done so because, from what they understand, the owner’s faith has vanished? Steve Cooper has moved on.

“I love Forest; I used to work in Nottingham; it’s a great club, but the owner has treated him badly. He will leave with his head held high and go right into another job.” The absence of Steve Cooper will cause Forest to regress while his career soars. I swear to you that.

Forest needs to make a very important decision.
Several journalists and pundits made similar accusations when Chris Hughton was about to lose his job.

Forest made the change, appointed Cooper and started winning matches. With that in mind, there is no saying that won’t happen again.

The results simply haven’t been good enough this season. With three wins out of 15 matches, it’s hardly surprising that the pressure is on.

It’s a romantic notion that Marinakis will simply stick with Cooper for now. However, the club’s performances have got progressively worse; with the players seemingly downing tools of late.

Only time will tell whether or not Cooper can recover from this situation. A win on Saturday would change the landscape considerably and hopefully the players can turn up.
