Nottingham Forest have found a replacement for £50m star with ‘electric’ 21-year-old

After Brennan Johnson left for Tottenham Hotspur this summer for a fee of £50 million, Nottingham Forest was left with an impossible task of replacing him.

Having lost one of his most important first-team players, Steve Cooper lost the Forest Academy graduate to a club record deal.

Still, it appears that the Reds may have already signed the ideal Welshman’s replacement.

This summer, Cooper and his group paid £15 million to acquire winger Anthony Elanga from rival Premier League team Manchester United.

Elanga looks to be the perfect Johnson replacement

Although he’s only been at the club a number of months, the 21-year-old has already showcased his qualities to the Reds faithful.

The ‘electric‘ wideman already has one goal and three assists in his first ten games for the Reds, with his direct dribbling and pace catching the eye.

He’s only been utilised as an impact player for Forest so far, however, his performances have given fans reason to be positive.

In the 2-2 draw with Luton Town, he recorded his greatest performance to date with two assists for Chris Wood thanks to his deft footwork and straightforward play with the ball.

Early going, but Elanga is showing promising signs
Elanga at Forest appears to have a very promising future, even at just 21 years old. He is obviously valued as a player by Cooper, and perhaps he can keep up the good work.

The athlete, who recently joined with United, possesses box office appeal and is eager to establish himself at this point. His two assists against Luton demonstrated his abilities, and there is undoubtedly more to come.

Due to the recent injury to teammate Callum Hudson-Odoi, Elanga has a genuine chance to show off what he’s capable of as a starter rather than an impact player.
