Nuno not happy with Billing’s tactical foul’

With scores locked at 1-1 in the 84th minute following Justin Kluivert’s early opener and Callum Hudson-Odoi’s equaliser on the stroke of half-time, Cherries found themselves down to 10 men when Billing cynically took out Hudson-Odoi on the counter.

There was outcry towards match official Rebecca Welch when she reached for a red card, the referee deeming Billing’s challenge to have been excessive as the Dane caught Hudson-Odoi on the Achilles.

An Achilles ailment has kept Hudson-Odoi out of action twice, which has Forest excited about the task.

But it seems like Hudson-Odoi survived the match unharmed.

“It’s obvious that it’s a red card, and it’s not fair,” Nuno said in response to the incident. “I hope that Billing understands that there are other ways to stop the game when he hears these words,” he said with all due respect.

“There are alternative approaches that don’t jeopardise the player, understand what I mean?

“Other options exist.”
Forest failed to put their hosts to the test even though they had a man advantage for the final six minutes plus eight more minutes of added time.

Nuno went on, “I think we could have done better, but there weren’t too many wise choices.”

“In these last few seconds of the game, we didn’t really pose a threat to Bournemouth.”

The group lacked equilibrium.

“We could have done more if we look at the last few minutes of the game.”

The Portuguese went on to comment on the referee’s overall performance, saying, “It was a tough game to whistle.”

It was difficult since the members on both teams were fighting.

“The referee has it quite tough today.”

Nuno felt no guilt about his own reservation.

When asked why he was given a yellow card, he said, “Because I asked for the yellow card, it was fair.”
