Report: Nottingham Forest set to sign Wolves expensive player’

So, what has been reported about Forest and the interest in goalkeeper Sa? Let’s take a closer look…

Nottingham Forest still very fond of Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa

Well, it would seem as though Forest are now going to be going full steam ahead to sign a goalkeeper this month.

According to The Irish Sun, the Reds are still very fond of Jose Sa – with Evangelos Marinakis a big fan in particular.

However, Forest fans must hang back on cracking open the champagne as a deal for Sa will be tricky.

He’s currently in possession of the gloves at Wolves and signing him would be extremely tough due to the finances involved.

Forest are hoping to land a new goalkeeper before the deadline on Thursday but ultimately they have to cut the cloth accordingly.

Who is Jose Sa?

Since 2021, the Portuguese custodian has been at Molineux, having taken Rui Patricio’s spot when he moved Roma.
Given that the Forest owner currently owns the custodian at Olympiacos, it is not surprising that Marinakis is eager to sign Sa.
Throughout his career, Sa has also played for Porto and Maritimo, although he has performed well with Wolves.

In his 98 games for Wolves, he has preserved 27 clean sheets, and the club paid under £7 million for him when he arrived from Greece.

Sa is a seasoned player in the Premier League and would be a great addition if his price wasn’t too high.

Forest might therefore need to set this interest aside and start over this month.

Rumour score: 8 out of 10. Though it’s unfortunate that Wolves are incredibly unlikely to conduct business with Forest over Sa this month, we really enjoy this link.

Their number one custodian is the custodian, so Marinakis may find it difficult to catch up to the 31-year-old.

But keep an eye out since, in our opinion, Forest may return to this passion in the summer.
