Two Nottingham Forest stars named in Who Scored Team of the Week, including £15m ‘great talent’

Anthony Elanga and Chris Wood of Nottingham Forest were both included in a Team of the Week compilation as a result of their efforts during the weekend.

At the City Ground on Saturday, the Reds and Luton tied 2-2. Elanga, a £15 million summer acquisition, assisted Wood on both of his goals.

For the Reds, both players were playing well. Callum Hudson-Odoi was set to miss six weeks of activity before to kickoff, which gave Elanga a starting position.

Team of the Week names two Forest players.
Elanga performed admirably for Forest over the weekend. This was maybe his greatest Garibaldi performance to date, and it gave hope that Brennan Johnson, who just moved to Tottenham, could be replaced.

Wood gave Forest two well-executed goals over the weekend. His first shot went high and over the custodian, and his second was a header that was all his own.

For their efforts, the two received recognition. Even though it was frustrating for Forest to lose, it was good to have two players on the Who Scored Team of the Week.

This season, Wood and Elanga might be the stars of Forest.
Some of Wood’s followers have voiced criticism, some of it unjustified. Although he won’t be regarded as the starting striker, the 31-year-old is more than capable of playing in reserve.

Elanga appears to be a great addition to the Reds. Despite not starting many games this season, he has a lightning-fast pace and has already recorded one goal and three assists.

In addition, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has previously praised the player. When he was playing beside him for Manchester United, he was referred to as a “great talent” by him.

The two can establish a mutually beneficial partnership. On Saturday, Elanga was able to pinpoint just where Wood wanted the ball, and perhaps as the season goes on, they can continue to assist Forest in scoring goals.
