‘Unforgivable’ football mistakes were made by Nottingham Forest in their 3-2 loss to West Ham United on Sunday, according to David Prutton.
At the London Stadium, the Reds put the home crowd on West Ham’s back with goals from Taiwo Awoniyi and Anthony Elanga. But all three of the Hammers’ goals were, in one way or another, gifts from Forest; the first was Nicolas Dominguez’s error, and the second and third were clear headers from corners.
Speaking on the Garibaldi Red podcast, former Forest midfielder Prutton said head coach Steve Cooper’s post match anger at his players was entirely understandable.
“Steve becomes angry because of the props. He is quite calm and well-mannered. We are aware of his enthusiasm for his work, but he said, “It’s challenging enough to win a game in the Premier League, let alone three, without helping the opposition.”
