What Steve Cooper told Murillo to prompt Nottingham Forest impact

The latest Nottingham Forest news as the summer signing has opened up about his relationship with Steve Cooper and why he decided to join the club

After moving to the City Ground, received a message from Steve Cooper, the manager of Nottingham Forest.

In the summer, the center-back who had spent just on Murillo e season with the first team left Corinthians in Brazil. For his first three Premier League games, he was completely left out of the Forest matchday squad; but, against Brentford, he was a pleasant surprise to see in the starting lineup.

The defender performed admirably in the 1-1 draw and kept his place for the game against Crystal Palace the following weekend. The match saw him pick up his first clean sheet but also saw him go close to scoring his first goal for the club in spectacular fashion.

Premier League football is back this Saturday at the City Ground against Luton Town, and Murillo is set to start. Cooper stated that they will keep working with the defender after his debut against Brentford, and Murillo has commended the way the Forest manager has treated him thus far, disclosing the message that he has been delivered.

Murillo said to Sky Sports, “There is a relationship of trust between me and the club and me and the manager as well.” I’ve always felt comfortable with him.

Since my arrival, he and I have had a lot of conversations. I am thrilled to be working with him because he is an amazing manager.

He has told me that he wants me to play the way I did for Corinthians in Brazil when it comes to his expectations for me. That’s the same qualities he wants me to bring on the field.

“It has to do with how well I pass, which includes playing long balls and cutting passes. Although marking is undoubtedly a center-back’s most crucial skill, he is also considering my passing ability.”

“I wouldn’t just sign for any club,” he added. “I specifically wanted to come here and show my worth in the Premier League, and I could see that this club has a very good structure. Danilo and Gustavo Scarpa, who are also Brazilian, had already come from Palmeiras. Felipe was here too and, at the time, Renan Lodi as well.

“They had very good existing players and new players coming in, so I believed we could achieve great things. Working together harmoniously, I think we can reach unimaginable heights.”
