A man has been arrested following a crash on a residential street in Oldham last night (Monday, July 29).
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have said that at around 10.30pm, officers were called to reports of a crash on Rothwell Street in Failsworth.
Officers had already been called to reports of a man “acting in a threatening manner”.
The man was then arrested on suspicion of public order and driving offences.
A spokesperson for GMP said: “Officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision at around 10.30pm on Rothwell Street last night.
“Officers had earlier been called regarding reports of a man acting in a threatening manner.
“One man was arrested on suspicion of public order and driving offences.”
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) confirmed they attended the scene and the crash only involved one car.
A spokesperson for GMFRS said: “At around 10.45pm on Monday night (July 29) one fire engine from Hollins Community Fire Station attended a crash involving one car and parked cars on Rothwell Street, Failsworth.
“Firefighters assisted in making the vehicles and surrounding area safe and were in attendance for around 20 minutes.”
