Police close down two major Oldham roads while two remain in custody after man die

A guy in his twenties has died following a three-car pile-up in Oldham.

According to Greater Manchester Police (GMP), on Saturday night at 11:41 p.m., police were called to Greenacres Road. It is believed that an automobile overturned after colliding with two stationary automobiles.When emergency personnel arrived, a man in his 20s was declared dead on the spot.

Two men, both in their 20s, have been taken into custody on charges of driving dangerously and causing death. They are still being held by the police.
Drivers are advised to stay away from the area since Greenacres Road was closed. Police investigations are still ongoing, and witnesses are being urged to come forward.
Pictures from the scene show a silver BMW and a black Opel Adam on top of each other next to the sidewalk, with a blue automobile on top of the silver one. The area is still blocked off while law enforcement investigates.
Det Con “This is a tragic incident where a young man has lost his life, and our thoughts remain with his family and loved ones,” stated Alex Giblin of the GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit.

Officers with specialised training will provide them with support during this difficult period.

While we are making every effort to get answers for them, I kindly ask anyone with knowledge or who may have seen the incident to come forward and assist us in our investigation.
