Do you have any free time to assist Latics?

Would you be willing to help out the Boundary Park maintenance crew with some tasks?

If so, please get in touch with the club.

Latics is happy to announce that, in response to encouraging comments from fans who are considering the idea, the club will be forming a volunteer action group.

You might be able to assist with maintenance duties like painting steps, repairing and fitting seats, cleaning, or simply keeping the stadium clean.

The team is also interested in speaking with semi-retired or retired fans who have worked in manual labour and may be able to help with joinery or plumbing.

The ultimate goal is to sustain the current maintenance structure so they can allocate more funds time and resources on larger, more challenging projects without ignoring the other crucial duties that have a weekly impact on supporters.

Boundary Park is cherished by all associated with the team, and the Latics are seeking supporters who will take pride in contributing to the upkeep of their home.

The club hopes that its volunteers will enjoy working together and cultivate a sense of community, giving the group a sense of identity.

In addition to supporting the team, the engaged supporters will receive refreshments and a place to unwind in between events where they can socialise with other supporters and create new ones.

They will also get a complimentary ticket for home games.

Initially, on Monday and Wednesday mornings, the club will be open to volunteers for a few hours.

If the project is successful, it will be expanded to give Latics Volunteer Group additional of an impact on the club.

In the meantime, the Latics’ National League match against Boreham Wood at home has been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 9, with a 7:45 p.m. kickoff.

The game at Boundary Park was supposed to happen last weekend, but the pitch was frozen, so it was postponed.

Tickets bought for the original game will still be good for the new date.
