Woman dies after two-vehicle collision in oldham

Following a crash in Oldham that left two people dead and a teenager critically hurt, an arrest has been made.

At before 4 p.m. on Saturday, police were alerted to a two-vehicle collision on Ripponden Road in Oldham, which was heading towards Denshaw.

According to Greater Manchester Police, a 42-year-old woman and a 15-year-old passenger in one of the cars passed away at the scene.
A 13-year-old boy was brought to the hospital after sustaining severe injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle, a 35-year-old man, was detained at the site and is still being questioned, according to the force.

The severe collision investigation unit is requesting that anybody who witnessed the crash or the vehicle, which is described as a black BMW X5, get in touch.

Anybody with dashcam, cell phone, or CCTV/doorbell footage from the scene in the seconds prior to the crash is especially wanted to talk to the officers.
