After one man was shot and another was stabbed, two individuals have been taken into custody on suspicion of trying to kill.
With injuries to his arms, the gunshot victim was brought to Royal Oldham Hospital on Wednesday at around 20:30 BST, according to Greater Manchester Police.
After looking through CCTV footage, the police discovered another individual who had been stabbed in Busk Road, which is located in the town.
Two guys, ages 22 and 29, were being treated at a hospital while being detained on suspicion of attempting murder.
‘Extra patrols’
Det Inspector Alex Wilkinson, from the force’s major incident team, said there would be increased patrols in the area.
However, he claimed that nothing pointed to a larger public threat.
He continued: “Our enquiries are in their initial stages at the moment, and we are working extremely hard to ascertain the facts and build a thorough timeline of events that led up to the disturbance.”We know there may be several potential witnesses to this incident, so we are asking anyone with information that could aid us in our investigation to get in contact.”
