More than 30 arrests have been made in a police investigation into violent disorder before Oxford United’s match with Reading last year.

Two more men have been arrested taking the total to 31 following reports of public fights in Reading town centre on the night of the game (Tuesday, December 12).

A total of 10 people were arrested on the night after the incidents in St Marys Butts, Friar Street and Station Approach.

Since then, on Monday, January 29, thirteen people have been arrested; on Friday, February 2, five have been arrested; and on Thursday, February 8, one person has been arrested.

Since then, both of them have been freed on conditional bail.

In addition to re-releasing two photos of men the police would like to talk with over the incident, Thames Valley Police is still asking the public for information about what happened.

Sergeant Richard Noone, the investigating officer, stated that the public’s assistance and information had been very helpful to the investigation. He is situated at the Reading police station.

“We are still requesting information about the December 12 public order incidents in Reading.

“We are pleading with anyone who recognises the people in these photos to get in contact with us as we think they may have important information regarding the incidents.”

Those with information can make a report to Thames Valley Police online or by calling 101, quoting the investigation reference number 43230557087.

Alternatively, for 100 per cent anonymity, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
