A guy has been detained on suspicion of poisoning a woman at a Peacehaven residence in order to kill her.
Yesterday (Sunday, September 8), there was a report of a woman experiencing medical difficulty at the Skylark Avenue home in Peacehaven. Police and medics were dispatched to the scene.
The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to Sussex Police.
According to the force, a 40-year-old guy was taken into custody on suspicion of killing someone and giving poison.
According to authorities today, he is still being held.
The woman and the man were acquainted to one another, the police added.
Police also stated that her next of kin had been notified.
Police are still looking into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
Sussex Police said: “Despite the efforts of paramedics, the woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“A 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death and is in custody.”
