Port Vale prospect gets milestone achievement.

One player who was set to play internationally in January had the option to move to Blackpool

One player, rumoured to be heading to Blackpool among other clubs, is set to get his first call-up to the national team.

In January, Adama Sidibeh was a player for Warrington Rylands, a team in the English football seventh division. He was linked to an English Football League move to the Seasiders, as well as to Port Vale, Stockport County, and Salford City.

Nevertheless, the 25-year-old earned a transfer to the top division of Scottish football after tallying more than 15 goals for Warrington. He signed a contract with St Johnstone, who gambled on the striker.

Although it took him some time to get going, he has scored in consecutive games. Sidibeh scored once in the team’s 2-1 loss to Dundee and once more in the 2-1 triumph over Hibernian.

There is currently speculation that Sidibeh might be called up to the Senegal national team, which is ranked 17th in the world by FIFA. Senegal was eliminated from both the 2022 World Cup and the Africa Cup of Nations Round of 16.

“He reminds me of Senegal’s all-time top goalscorer, Henri Camara,” head coach Aliou Cisse told Pete O’Rourke of Football Insider.

Adama undoubtedly possesses a combination of the qualities of El Hadji Diouf, Diafra Sakho, and Diomansy Kamara, having worked with them all.

“With his goals and his lightning-fast speed, he has been in great form, and Craig Levein and St Johnstone have undoubtedly acquired a valuable asset.”

Sidibeh may make his debut for Senegal in their June World Cup qualifying matches against DR Congo and Mauritania. But the task at hand is to make sure he plays in the Scottish Premiership the following year. They need to stay out of the bottom two in order to avert the threat of relegation, as they are currently in third place.
