, Breaking;According to manager former winger for Norwich City, has joined Portsmouth to train with the team.

Portsmouth’s manager Mousinho oversaw an overhaul of the playing roster at Fratton Park during the busy summer transfer window. Despite the degree of recruitment, there have been some concerns raised about a prospective foray into the free agent market due to several attack-related injuries.

Pompey appears to be able to make do with what they have, but nobody has yet entered Fratton Park. Even with winger Martin, 22, joining the team to train, it appears that will remain the case.

Martin, who left Norwich City at the end of the previous season without a team, is currently working out with Mousinho’s group. Although a transfer for him is doubtful, the Portsmouth manager told The News that the player will likely only join the team for training since he is currently based nearby.

osh Martin has been working out with us, and since his girlfriend lives nearby, this has been a great chance for him to join us.

He arrived on Tuesday of last week and will continue to stay here this week.

Josh is welcome to train here because we are not currently aiming to expand our squad. If that changes, we will surely continue to keep an eye on the situation.

He’s a really, really excellent player and a young man, but as a team, we are content with where we are right now.

Martin afterwards received great praise from Mousinho for his talent, but it appears doubtful that he will sign a contract at Fratton Park given that the club has no plans to recruit any new players through the free agent market.

The winger has previously attracted attention in League One and has expertise in the Championship and Premier League from his stint at Norwich City. He might turn out to be a wise free agency acquisition for a League One or Two team, but only time will tell where he ultimately winds up.

Given their individual circumstances, it appears that everyone will benefit from this training assignment at Portsmouth, but it doesn’t appear that the League One leaders will make a bid to sign him.
