Police launch investigation after man in his 20s dies after crash on East Prescot Road in Dovecot

Following a horrifying collision between a motorbike and a car on a busy Liverpool route, a man in his 20s has passed away.

near approximately 2:40 PM yesterday afternoon, there were reports of an accident involving a Nissan Juke and a motorbike near the intersection of Ashover Avenue, prompting the emergency services to be dispatched to East Prescot Road in Dovecot.
After receiving a head injury, the man on the motorcycle was sent to the hospital.

Soon after, it was declared that he was deceased. His family has been informed.

The vehicle’s driver pulled over to help with inquiries.
A bystander who saw the crash’s aftermath claimed to have seen paramedics giving the man CPR on the spot.

“The road was closed heading towards,” they stated the McDonald’s and there was a lot of people about looking worried

“Paramedics were there performing CPR on a man on the pavement and police were diverting traffic.”

A police spokesman said to the ECHO: “A report was received at around 2.40pm that a motorbike had been in collision with a car at the junction of East Prescot Road and Ashover Avenue.

“Emergency services attended and the rider of the motorbike, a male in his 20’s, was taken to hospital for treatment to a head injury. He was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.

“The driver of the car stopped at the scene to assist with enquires.

“The man’s next of kin have been informed and an investigation is currently underway into the circumstances of the collision.”
