A man has died following an incident in Prescot today.
Police were called to Newhall Road this afternoon to reports of a concern for the safety of a man. He was taken to hospital but later passed away.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
A Merseyside Police statement this afternoon read: “We can confirm officers are currently at a property in Newhall Road, Prescot.
“We were contacted at 12.25pm today, following concern for the safety of a man. The man was taken to hospital by ambulance.
“He has since sadly passed away.
“The death is not currently being treated as suspicious.”
