Jubilation as fans celebrates signing outstanding Manchester United talent”

Connor Wickham and Izzy Brown were punts which just didn’t work out as their injury nightmares continued at Deepdale.

Jamie Thomas was a non-factor and the same largely goes for winger Josh Murphy.

Though Matthew Olosunde appeared like a decent addition, he was arguably the biggest disappointment.

The American, who played right back and right wing back for Rotherham United, had championship experience under his belt.

Olosunde, regrettably, too struggled with injuries, and before being cut loose at the end of the previous campaign, he surprisingly made just three appearances for PNE.

Matthew Olosunde finds new club

The 25-year-old was without a club for the first half of this season and returned to Manchester United’s training in November in order to maintain his fitness.

Olosunde, however, has now found a new team, completing a transfer to The New Saints in Wales.

Olosunde is now in position to win a league title as TNS leads the JD Cymru Premier standings by 17 points.

Now that Olosunde has been signed, manager Craig Harrison, a former North End player, has expressed his happiness.

Harrison believes that Olosunde, a former PNE and Manchester United player, is a “outstanding” player, according to the TNS official website.

Harrison complimented Olosunde’s quickness and athleticism, giving the impression that he can have a significant influence on a potent TNS team.

“I’m thrilled to have the chance to strengthen an already formidable team. Matthew will be a terrific addition to help us continue to push the battle for places.

He has a plenty of experience from playing in the English Championship and comes to Park Hall with a complete international cap. Matthew is a fantastic football player who plays at the front of the defence. He has outstanding athleticism to move quickly up and down the field and good pace.

After a nightmare spell at PNE, we can only hope that Olosunde gets his career back on track nearly three years since his North End move.

The drop from Championship to the Welsh top flight is one that few could have predicted when Olosunde arrived but we wish him all the best and hope to see him thrive with his new move.
