The 3 players who may not play for Preston North End again*

Between now and the end of the season, Preston North End, who are now outside the top six in the division, will be looking to move up into the play-off spots.
After missing out on the Championship play-offs in 2009, Preston North End will believe they have a genuine chance this year. They are two points outside of the top six in the table with 13 games remaining in the current campaign. They are now ranked ninth.

There is work to be done in the summer, regardless of whatever division their football team plays in next season. Although there are probably going to be incomings, there might also be outgoings. In light of this, we examine three players who might have played their final game for the Lilywhites already.
The 31-year-old defender has only made one league appearance this season due to lack of playing time under Ryan Lowe. He may leave Deepdale when his contract expires in June of this year.

Lowe hinted back in December that the Germany youth international might be sent out on loan during the January transfer window. Still, nothing materialised. He might not return to the Preston North End team.

Although it may seem harsh given the striker’s personal health issues and his injury absence, his days wearing a Preston North End shirt may be numbered. Will Keane, Emil Riis, Milutin Osmajic, and Layton Stewart have all risen above him in the standings while he has been out of the lineup, so it’s possible that he has already played his final game for the Lilywhites. The striker’s contract expires in June.

Woodburn is another player who is out of contract in the summer and out of favour. This season, the forward has only played a total of 25 minutes in a Championship game; most of his bench appearances have been after the 80th minute.
