Following an incident in Ramsgate, emergency services are on the scene and a road closure is in effect.
At Montefiore Avenue/Dumpton Park Drive, there was an accident involving a car and a cyclist. Emergency personnel are on the scene.
As of right now, Dumpton Park Drive to A255 Hereson Road is closed off. The area is not currently accessible by car.
Ambulance, fire, and police personnel are on the scene.
“Kent Police was called to a report of a collision involving a car and a cyclist near Montefiore Avenue, Ramsgate,” a spokeswoman for the Kent Police department stated. A road closure is in place while the incident is being handled, and officers and other emergency services are present at the scene.
“Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to assist Kent Police, following reports of a crash involving a car and a cyclist near Montefiore Avenue, Ramsgate,” a spokeswoman for the agency continued. There were two fire engines dispatched to the area.
