Alfredo Morelos sends one-word message to Rangers star after what happened’

Rangers star James Tavernier has received a message from former Ibrox favourite Alfredo Morelos after the draw versus Benfica.

The Scottish giants played out a 2-2 draw with the Portuguese giants in their Europa League round of 16 first-leg tie on Thursday (7 March)

The match was held at Lisbon’s Estadio da Luz, with the return leg scheduled for next Thursday, March 14, at Ibrox.

Following the game, Tavernier posted on Instagram, saying, “Everything is up for grabs at Ibrox.” We appreciate the fans who are travelling.

Former Ibrox star Morelos was one of the many players who left comments on the page. He commented, “Vamos,” which means “Let’s go.”

Can Rangers secure memorable win against Benfica at Ibrox?

Although the way the goals were given up in Portugal may have displeased Philippe Clement, there aren’t many issues with the Gers manager’s performance overall.

The Portuguese team was always going to be tough to beat, especially at home, despite Benfica’s recent struggles.

But the visitors managed to find the back of the net after just seven minutes through Tom Lawrence, with Angel Di Maria levelling the game from the spot before the half-time whistle.

But moments later, Dujon Sterling gave the Scottish team the lead once more, and an own goal by Connor Goldson resulted in a 2-2 draw.

Now, everything is on the line at Ibrox under the lights, where the home crowd will be raucous as they want to celebrate a significant victory with their players.
Morelos, the former Gers striker who played brilliantly for several years in Glasgow until leaving last year, is well-versed in these kinds of nights.

In other Rangers news, a key member of the team tweeted from his hospital bed in an updated injury report from Ibrox.
