Borna Barisic in Rangers injury D-Day as doctor’s appointment

The Ibrox medical team are set to assess the 30-year-old after he limped out of the Hibs win.

Record Sport understands the Rangers medics will assess Barisic today when the squad report to the Training Centre at Auchenhowie but if the 30-year-old isn’t fit to travel then Clement will have to look at alternative left back options. Although predominantly right backs, Dujon Sterling or younger Adam Devine can fill in on the opposite flank. Former Chelsea kid Sterling has made seven appearances since his summer arrival from Stamford Bridge but has started just once – against Morton in the Viaplay Cup – while Devine’s only appearance came off the bench in that same game against Ton.
