Breaking; unknown club” wrinkle in Philippe Clement’s job

Rangers: As a Belgian expert provides the “latest information,” a “unknown club” wrinkle in Philippe Clement’s job attempt appears. Rangers is targeting a manager. Sven Claes reports that a third club that is “unknown” is showing interest in Philippe Clement.

According to the Daily Record (October 11), the Belgian football specialist claimed to Clyde 1 that the former Monaco manager is being courted by the Germans, Al-Shabab of Saudi Arabia, and one more unidentified team.

Clement is eager to play in Europe, but Claes stated that the Belgian and Rangers are still in talks despite offers from these other teams.

“He’s 49 years old and just started playing football in Europe at Monaco. He wants to make a career in European football, and I hope Glasgow [Rangers] will be his next step,” Claes stated.

According to the most recent information I have, they are still in negotiations, although a third unidentified club and Saudi Arabia have also made an offer. Nobody in Belgium is currently wishing to confirm that Rangers will win by this week’s end.

The Gers may have their work cut out for them if they are to land the former Monaco and Club Brugge manager because he seems to be in high demand.

After being fired from the Ligue 1 team, Claes stated that he is keen to stay in Europe. Before leaving in the summer, he led them to a sixth-place finish in the French top tier after winning consecutive Belgian titles with Genk and Club Brugge.

But his desire to stay in Europe might work to the Rangers’ advantage. The large salary in the Saudi offer may interest Clement, as it is a probable lucrative agreement.

Anybody may be the alleged third team, but if the Gers are determined to sign Clement, they will want minimal competition at Ibrox. Kevin Muscat appears to be the club’s backup choice; according to the Daily Record (October 11), he and Clement were the “final two” to be considered.

Although Rangers and their supporters will be keen to choose a new manager as quickly as possible, serious thought and research will be necessary.

In other Rangers news, Alex McLeish revealed that the club’s management has appointed a new Ibrox, calling it “unbelievable.”
