Clement looks at three categories as Rangers board set to back January transfer

According to TEAMtalk, Rangers manager Philippe Clement is considering signings in three distinct categories before the January transfer window opens.

On November 7, the English media outlet reported that the Belgian is focusing on three things: attitude, power, and pace.

Despite spending big in the summer under Michael Beale, the Gers board is set to back their new manager in the winter.

Good

Clement is looking for specific qualities that will help this Rangers team become a stronger one.

In the past, there have been players who, despite performing well for the team, lacked the proper mindset and constantly desired more

The Belgian will thus have to ensure that it’s not the case with the players he brings through the door in the January transfer window.

Rangers

An out-and-out wide player was not signed over the summer and that could be an area he’s looking to strengthen over the coming weeks.

A new midfielder and centre-back could also be on his radar, especially given the unavailability of John Souttar and Ben Davies in recent games.

It’ll be interesting to see how many new players are signed as January is not usually when a club spends a colossal amount of money.
