The striker is out of action until well into 2024 but is still cheering on his pals at Ibrox.
Danilo has vowed to return stronger than ever after updating Rangers fans on his knee surgery.
The injury occurred during Philippe Clement’s side’s 1-0 win over Hearts at Tynecastle. That three points came at a cost, as their huge summer signing from Feyenoord suffered a catastrophic knee injury, which is expected to keep him out until the spring. He has already missed time due to an orbital injury.
In an update to his Instagram story, the Brazilian has told Rangers fans he is back home alongside footage from his time in hospital. He wrote: “Hey guys. The surgery went well. Just want to give you guys updates.”
He posted in later stories: “When God is on your side, you will not fight to lose, but you will overcome many battles. Back home. Revalidation starts now. Time to come back stronger.”
Danilo was also impressed by his teammates’ efforts in a 3-2 victory over Real Betis. He wrote “well done boys” with bicep, blue heart, and fire emojis after goals from Abdallah Sima, Cyriel Dessers, and Kemar Roofe advanced the Light Blues to the Europa League’s last 16.
