Rangers suffer bad injury frustrations again despite 1-0 win over Hearts:

Just 19 minutes into Tynecastle’s 1-0 victory over Hearts last night, Lawrence was substituted out.

After Tom Lawrence pulled up at Tynecastle, Philippe Clement let his frustrations about Rangers’ never-ending injury problems out once more.

The state of his Ibrox team, which is missing players like Ryan Jack, Nico Raskin, and Kemar Roofe, has left the Belgian coach perplexed. Borna Barisic was also absent from last night’s victory at Tynecastle, and midfielder Lawrence, who has been beset by injuries, hobbled off with a muscle ailment early in the first half.

Clement could do without the issue given the busy December fixture schedule, but the manager of the Gers says his team must persevere until the January winter break.

Asked about Lawrence’s latest setback, he said: “We need to assess that tomorrow to make an assessment, that’s the downside. It’s not good to change players in the first half.

“We’ve lost Borna (Barisic) before this game. It’s difficult for me in this moment because I have never had it in a team that I worked with, that so many players fall out injured.

“We also don’t have the time to train them and make them stronger because we have game by game by game. We need a lot of good work until January, until then we need to puzzle every time to find the best 11 for that game and make the right changes.”
