Rangers have been offered Wolves striker Fabio Silva on loan in the upcoming January transfer window, according to The Daily Record.
The newspaper reported in its print edition [26 December, pg 42] that Celtic have also been offered the Portuguese sensation, who is set to exit Molineux until the end of the season.
Interest has been reported from both Old Firm clubs, with Celtic set to be busy as they look to arrest the slump under Brendan Rodgers with Rangers flying right now.
The door appears to be open for Philippe Clement to join Rangers if they wanted to start their January window strong.
The manager is probably familiar with Silva’s game because he watched him play while on loan at Anderlecht in Belgium a few years ago. Silva is 23 years old.
Silva’s interest in Clement is unknown, but given his Premier League experience and the seemingly low cost, it might be difficult to pass up Silva on loan.
Although Cyriel Dessers has shown improvement recently, another option is unquestionably required in the final third with Danilo and Kemar Roofe both sidelined with injuries.
Though it’s no secret that Celtic is also a contender, this may be your first chance to outshine them as the Scottish Premiership title race heats up.
All eyes are still on the Old Firm match on December 30, but the fight won’t end there, with less than a week until the winter window opens.
