Steven Naismith Heart identifies Rangers style

Steven Naismith insists Hearts know Rangers style as he identifies where Philippe Clement has improved his side

Naismith also wants his side to be ‘more threatening’ against the Gers this time

Philippe Clement, according to Steven Naismith, has improved Rangers’ consistency since his arrival this season.

Since Clement took charge, the Light Blues have not been defeated in Premiership action, and Naismith has been full of praise for Clement and his methods at Ibrox. His Jambos have already faced their opponents twice this season, and Naismith believes they have worked hard to understand how the Light Blues play and where they can be dangerous when the two sides meet at Tynecastle this Saturday.

The manager of the month for November is plotting a victory over Clement’s troops even if he knows how tough it will be despite his side’s strong run of form currently.

“It will be a tough game,” Naisy predicted on Sky Sports. “Obviously, they have definitely turned the corner in terms of their mindset since the new manager’s arrival.” I’m pretty sure the manager has stated that it would take time, but their consistency in producing results, even with draws and such, is earning them points. That has altered from earlier in the season.

“We’ve had two chances to play them recently, and we understand how they play and what they try to do in games, and we know they’re a real threat.” But now that we’re at home, we want to put on a more frightening performance than we did in the semi-final.”

On his monthly award, Naismith thanked the players and his staff for assisting them in locating their points.

“We’ve had a tricky start to the season in terms of balancing European football and then coming back into the league campaign and then the demands of the club. But to find a bit of consistency is really good. The award is probably a bit of recognition for everybody at the club, there’s so many people behind the scenes who do so much day to day, who don’t get the value appreciated by everybody, but internally we really appreciate them.”
