Arlington Astros? Rangers Ready to ‘Bounce Back’

Dallas, Texas – There will be a best-of-three match.

With just one game remaining at Globe Life Field, the Texas Rangers—who were once firmly in control of the American League Championship Series—need two wins to move on to the World Series.

The past two days in Arlington have been exasperating.

Rangers first baseman Nathaniel Lowe stated, “We had to win four either way, so if we have to take it all the way then we’ll take it all the way.” We would have preferred to enter [Game 5] with a little bit more momentum, but that is a strong team, so it is not surprising that they fought the way they did. The Houston Astros used the same road ploy to bounce back after dropping their opening two games against Texas at home. The homefield advantage was once again won by the reigning champions.

and the moniker “Arlington Astros,” which the FS1 broadcast team adopted following Houston’s 10-3 victory on Thursday night.

In the last 21 road postseason games, the Astros have a record of 18-3. At Globe Life Field, they have an 8-1 record this season and have won seven straight games. What makes the Arlington Astros so good? Alex Bregman, whose two-run triple in the first inning scored Jose Altuve and Mauricio Dubon for a swift 2-0 lead, admitted, “I have no clue, to be honest with you.”

I think Altuve comes out and sets the tone for us in a really nice way. Dubon immediately afterward. However, I couldn’t tell you; I don’t know. However, I believe that the clubhouse has a pretty strong focus. When questioned about the success at Globe Life Field, Dusty Baker, the manager of Houston, was equally nonplussed. Although Baker was displeased with the roof’s openness during Game 4, he claimed that hitting is possible at the stadium.

“I am aware that our players see the ball clearly here, and it travels well,” he remarked. The dimensions are certainly bigger here than they are in our stadium, but I know it conveys. Additionally, you enjoy hitting at some ballparks more than others. The Rangers only need to win one game at Globe Life Field to take a 3-2 lead back to Houston despite their consecutive losses. Jordan Montgomery will try to win the series for the second time on Friday afternoon in Game 5.

Montgomery described himself as “pretty confident every time I go out there.” “Very good movement and throwing. It’s playoffs, though. Something is wrong if you’re not thrilled to compete out there. Since arriving in Texas prior to the trade deadline and continuing through the postseason, the lefty has been invaluable. The Rangers would want to have none other than Monty on the mound, possibly with the exception of Nathan Eovaldi. (Eovaldi is anticipated to start Sunday’s Game 6 at Houston.)

The problem is that the Astros, who lost the series opener on Sunday due to terrible luck, have the same feelings about Justin Verlander. Verlander remarked, “We saw the other night that I was a little erratic early on and started to get better as the game went on.” “Even though you’re still in the dark, I’m hoping that will be something I can rely on because I didn’t get much sleep.

In a best-of-seven series that is tied 2-2, the victor of Game 5 advances 71% of the time to win the series in MLB history. “With this club, I always like my chances,” manager Bruce Bochy remarked. “They had fought all year long. We’re having fun as a team. No one anticipated that it would be simple. I have experienced situations like these when we must recover. And that’s what we must carry out.

“They’ve performed admirably at this ballpark. That has to be changed. We are aware of it. However, we will need to improve our pitching and score some runs.
