Reason why Rangers vs. Astros ALCS shifts to Arlington for Game 3″

Wednesday night marks another one-game postseason baseball day, and this time, the Rangers will be trying to carry on their playoff rampage at Globe Life Field in Arlington.

The Rangers have a spectacular 7-0 record this playoffs, outscoring their opponents 39-16, and are leading the Astros in the ALCS by a score of two games to none. The Rangers have won six of those games away from home because they haven’t yet benefited from home-field advantage in the postseason.

After missing a month due to a strained teres major muscle, Max Scherzer gets the start for the Rangers in Game 3. It was September 12 when he last pitched in a game.

Houston’s Cristian Javier gets the start. Javier has allowed two total hits and no runs in 16⅓ innings, with 23 strikeouts and 10 walks, in his last three playoff starts, which included the ALCS and World Series last year and this year’s ALDS.

For Fox Sports, callers Joe Davis and John Smoltz will be present during the ALCS and World Series. FS1 will broadcast Game 3.
