Macclesfield have announced the signing of goalkeeper Joe Hilton on loan from Blackburn Rovers until the end of the season.
Hilton, 24, progressed through the ranks at Everton and Manchester City before joining Blackburn in 2019.
He made eighteen games for Marine in the Northern Premier League while on loan from the Toffees.
He made his professional debut in an EFL Trophy match against Portsmouth in 2021 after joining Fleetwood Town on loan.
Since then, he has enjoyed loan stints at Hamilton Academical in the Scottish Championship and Ross County of the Scottish Premiership, where he made 16 appearances.
Hilton might make his Silkmen debut on Saturday when the team plays Marine at home in the Northern Premier League.
