Burton Albion to prevent Reading FC fans from taking inflatables to final away game

The Royals fans had been planning to celebrate ‘inflatables day’, a tradition which is held on the final away day of the campaign.

Reading FC fans have been informed that they will not be able to take inflatables into the ground for their away trip to Burton Albion on Saturday.

Ruben Selles’ side secured safety last weekend with a draw at Barnsley which means they cannot be caught by both Burton and Cheltenham Town.

However, Reading’s festive mood for their Saturday visit to Pirelli Stadium Princess Way has been shelved after Reading FC fan club Club 1871 received word from Burton Albion that fans bringing inflatables will not be permitted entry into the stadium.

With three games left in the season, Burton is now in 20th place and battling for their lives.

With 43 points, they are three points clear of the relegation zone, but Fleetwood, Port Vale, and Cheltenham are still in the running to make it out.
