Reading FC boss Ruben Selles sets target and issues threat ahead of Wycombe”

The Royals are in desperate need of points as they enter their matchup with Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday, five points above the relegation zone due to the possibility of further point deductions.

“All we can do is get the team ready to win tomorrow because we are all aware of the things that have been going on,” Selles added.

“The only way to succeed is to maintain focus. We are aware that there have been setbacks with point deductions, but we are not supposed to consider them.

It would be a waste of our time and effort to search further than that because things can change between now and tomorrow.

“I aim to win each and every game. Regardless of the opponent, we train to win every game.

“I don’t want to know about the other nine games; we just have one to concentrate on. Game by game, day by day, is the main emphasis.

Selles responded, “You don’t really know, nothing can happen or it can happen that we have more points deductions and the speculation is just going to cause more stress,” when asked if there was a chance of further point deductions before the season ended.

“A lot of things are happening right now. Though I doubt that would happen, it would be beneficial for the EFL if it could be like Everton and give us a few points back.

“All we have to do is work hard and win our football games. We will be closer to remaining in this League the more victories we can muster.

When asked if there were any possible updates on ownership, Selles said, “I have no new information at all.”
