Reading FC staff devastated over financial issued

READING FC employees have not been paid in full for November as current owner Dai Yongge continues to struggle with the club’s operating costs.

Dai Yongge is now negotiating with a number of parties over the prospective sale and takeover of the club, which is expected to be finalised by early 2024.

Financial troubles continue to plague the club’s workforce just a day after being placed back on the EFL’s embargo list for failing to pay an outstanding HMRC debt.

Things had started to look up on the field for the Royals, who found their first league away win in more than a year last weekend and backed that up with three more points on Tuesday night to move closer to escaping the League One relegation zone.

However, another setback has hit the club with staff being told the news that they will only receive a portion of their wages for this month.

This is just one of several occasions where players and staff have not been paid on time over the last 12 months.
