One died three people taken to hospital with serous after crash in Recar

Two men and a woman are being treated at James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough

Following a two-car collision that blocked a major road, three people received medical attention in a hospital.

A blue Volkswagen Caddy and a black Nissan Juke were engaged in an accident when they were traveling towards Guisborough on the A171/Fancy Lane. Thursday at around 3:20 p.m., there was an accident.

A 60-year-old guy who was riding in the Nissan Juke was brought to Middlesbrough’s James Cook University Hospital with what appeared to be leg and pelvic injuries. Firefighters extracted the 32-year-old man who was riding in the VW Caddy and brought him to the same hospital where he was treated for a broken leg and perhaps pelvic injuries.

In addition, a 26-year-old passenger in the VW Caddy was hospitalized after breaking her collar bone. Alongside paramedics from the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS), the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) verified that they responded to the incident.

“Our crew was activated at 15:58 to an incident near Guisborough,” a spokeswoman stated. After arriving at the scene at 16:26 in a quick reaction vehicle, our doctor and critical care paramedic collaborated with the Cleveland Fire Brigade and North East Ambulance Service to stabilize and liberate the patients before driving one of them to the hospital.”

“Cleveland Fire Brigade were called on 08/02/2024 at 15.34 to an RTC near to the Slapewath Road/A171 Whitby Road,” a brigade spokeswoman stated. “Three fire engines were sent to the scene, and crews confirmed they rescued one person from a vehicle.” Three fire engines from Redcar and Guisborough were present. Two car crashes, three people killed. One rescued by teams. The trio all moved on to NEAS. The pause came at 16:45.
