Due to Cyriel Dessers’ mentality, Rangers great Barry Ferguson has said that he is eager to see Dessers succeed with the Gers.
Dessers signed a four-year contract with the Rangers in the summer, but he has had trouble justifying his billing.
The Nigerian, who has only scored twice in the Scottish Premiership this year, was taken off the pitch at halftime during Rangers’ 2-1 victory against Hearts on Saturday.
The forward opened up last week about his difficulties at Rangers, and Ferguson acknowledged that despite his issues, he appeared to have a positive and upbeat mentality behind the scenes.
The former Ranger acknowledged that, despite his intense work ethic on the pitch, he occasionally feels as like he is expending too much energy off the ball. For this reason, he is anxious to see him succeed.
Ferguson stated, “I am desperate for him to do well,” on the Go Radio Football Show.
He did a great job in his interview last week, and one thing about him that you can’t dispute is that he puts in a lot of effort off the ball.
“Working too hard, sometimes this might sound stupid.Under the new manager Philippe Clement, Dessers has had opportunities but hasn’t yet had an impact.
