JUST IN; Manager responds to Rangers Forward criticism.

Cyriel Dessers, who cost Rangers around £4.5 million in the summer, has scored just three goals in 13 appearances, according to manager Michael Beale, and the Nigerian international has come under fire from the Ibrox faithful. Beale’s team struggled to a 3-1 loss to Aberdeen at Ibrox, and ferocious boos were heard from the supporters who remained inside the stadium at the conclusion of the game.

In his post-game press conference, Beale addressed the situation, acknowledging that the striker had a difficult time, but he insisted that he would turn things around by pointing to his previous goalscoring achievements.

Beale acknowledged that Cyriel was not at the height of his powers at the moment.

We’ll see what happens, Beale responds when asked about the Rangers’ future.

He has scored throughout his career as evidenced by the fact that he has twice been the top scorer in the Eredivisie and that he was top scorer in the Europa Conference League when playing for Feyenoord.

However, he was a late addition and struggled in the early going of the season.

Although it’s fair to say that Cyriel is currently below the level he’d like to be, I’m convinced that over time he will demonstrate his talent.

Beale noted that the outrage among the fans has developed much more quickly than he could have anticipated.

Listen, the situation has escalated far more quickly than I anticipated, he continued.

Beale said, “I believe they [fans] could assist one or two players, but one or two players in the team most definitely need to assist themselves.”
